We love hearing from our users and include many of their questions on our support page. In a series of blog posts, we now want to take a closer look into some questions that we have been asked a lot:
Does GoKid have a way for me to find other nearby carpooling families?
GoKid strongly recommends that families only carpool within their trusted network of fellow parents they know and trust. For this reason, we don’t list other GoKid users’ locations or match up families within the main GoKid app.
However, we do realize that sometimes you might be friends with families in your child’s school or sports team, but simply don’t know if they want to carpool or live nearby. We have come up with two solutions to help you find families:
1. GoKid Connect, a software for schools, school districts, and other organizations. It includes a mapping technology on which families can locate nearby families within their school or organization who are in similar grades and activities and are also interested in carpooling. It securely serves only the school community – names and locations of families are not visible to users outside that community.

2. TeamSnap: We are super excited to be announcing a partnership with TeamSnap, the leading technology in integrated sports management this month. TeamSnap has over 15 million users and the first phase of the partnership will include GoKid offering users the ability to connect their TeamSnap and GoKid accounts in order to pull in team rosters and sports event schedules. Users will then be able to easily create carpools and find other parents in their child’s team by pulling information straight from TeamSnap.
